Every few years or so in high school, the administrators would debate implementing a school uniform. Students would always cry foul insisting that it would "stifle their creative expression" or some such shit. But I believe that having some kind of restraint forces one to develop their own personal style. Japanese school girls use every medium they have- their phones, socks, shoes, jewlery- to mix it up. But as shown above, given free reign on fashion and no aesthetic constraints, people often become stereotypes.
