This is the perfect time of year to celebrate all things material. After all, we do live in the United States of America where a person is defined by their stuff. Consider this post as a virtual shrine to the gods of beautiful things.
I am not original, however, in this homage to Capitalism, magazines have been selling this stuff for generations. Now the blogs have taken over. One of my favorite blogs, The Coveteur, is wholly devoted to investigating the closets of the wealthy and fabulous. Bluefly Closet Confessions, another favorite of mine tackles the same content but relies on expertly edited video and vibrant celebrity personalities (I am dying for a Rachel Zoe cameo). This is not to excuse overindulgence or wasteful consumption, but hey, I'm a product of my culture, right?
